Just Chat Or Over Chat
March 30th, 2006 | by ka edong |I was online with my brother in Australia. We were talking over Yahoo Voice. Not bad. Not bad at all.
Later, my brother in Indonesia was online too, I detected him via Google Chat.
I tried to put everyone in a Google Chat conference (three people typing in the same chat window), but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. Is that how much no-frills Google Chat is? No multiple user chat?
I also tried bringing the three of us in a Google Talk conference. Three people in a voice conversation. I couldn’t find it either. Hrmps. No frills is no frills.
Yahoo does the conferencing job well. Quite well. But a little “over” well – such that it’s sometimes overwhelming.
One time we were chatting with our 8 & 9 year old pamangkins. We started using the interactive features of Yahoo IM’s coloring board. Ah, lahv-leh!
Later we went to audibles. They were cool, we were sending each other character greetings (e.g. a Jamaican voice saying, “hey mon!”, or an african american saying “wazzup?”).
But, my pamangkins found their way to a section where the audible greetings were flirtatious! Hahaha! They were sending us messages like “Hey there sexy! Ain’t you a hottie!” Oooops! That’s too much!
Basic no frills? Or overwhelming features? Choose what suits you.

YM is an institution. It’s like friendster. That’s something Google won’t get away with. Or wouldn’t they…? =P

musta audio mo?
best to have somebody help you at your computer.
Ask the nearby internet shop technician to come to your house and troubleshoot.
P50-P100 should be enough as a tip to the technician — pang merienda lang.
