Audio books on my cellphone

September 29th, 2006 | by ka edong |

Finally I pulled it off! I’ve always wanted to listen to audio books on my cellphone. But I haven’t been able to find a good source of mp3 audio books …. Uhm, did I mention they have to be free?

On, Brosia, my smartphone , I have a 3-year-old 128 Mb MMC card where I can store lots of audio books. I’ve loaded a Robert Kiyosaki audio CD “It’s Easy to be Rich” from the Cashflow 101 game. This is what I listened to while commuting home tonight.

Listening to audio books on my cellphone is good use of my time. I can play it over again. And it’s less stressful than reading a book while commuting.

Kewl! Now where do I get my next set of free audio books?

what kind of audiobooks do you prefer? how about podcasts? i also have thomas friedman’s talk on the world is flat (50MB) and other biz, self-help related. try to go to learnoutloud.com, some good stuff there. just tell me what you prefer listening to and i’ll burn you a copy.

hey jun! Yes, i’d take on that offer! will try out http://www.learnoutloud.com when i’m on broadband.

Self-help and inspirational books ang hanap ko ngayon. A friend lent me his robert kiyosaki cds, i’m burning them today. I used to read robert fulghum and it would be interesting to hear him narrate his animated stories.

      What’s on your audio library?

      Ka,

Are you able to pause the file to make a call? If so, does it save that spot? Or do you have to start from the beginning and find your spot again?

      Hi Janine,

On my Smartphone (HTC Tanager), I could pause the file and continue later.

There’s this site I just browsed early this well, err, night, search for the projectgutenberg.net I think… Basta, project gutenberg.ü hope it helps. Btw, dyou happen to know where I can find a good *free* software for my K530i that I can use for listening to mp3 audiobooks? I find it annoying to have to search all over again to get back on the part I’d finished listening to. Hope you’d write back, thanks in advance…ü
