Quick Keyboard Shortcuts references

February 17th, 2008 | by ka edong |

I occasionally get a pain in my right wrist with carpal tunnel syndrome. It’s because of repetitive motions using the mouse.

When we learn the keyboard shortcuts, it helps us reduce use of the mouse, reduce/eliminate pain caused by use of the mouse and also help me work faster through the keyboard.

Here are some links to keyboard shortcuts:

  • Computer Hope.com: A rundown of shortcuts for Microsoft applications, including Explorer, Word*, Excel*, FrontPage*, and Outlook*, as well as Macintosh**, Linux/Unix** and Mozilla** quickies.
  • WindowsNetworking.com: A bevy of Windows XP* shortcuts, based on keyboard layout.
  • WindowsITPro: Common Internet Explorer shortcuts.
  • Lifehacker.com: Shortcuts for Firefox* users, as well as ways to survive without a mouse.
  • Microsoft.com: all the Internet Explorer keyboard shortcuts you could ever use (and many you might not, but you never know).
