In this podcast, I’m going to talk about Smart Bro Quickfix.
Smart Bro Quickfix is an application that can be downloaded at the smart website; it’s a diagnostic application that you run when you’re having problems with your Smart Bro connection. It advertises a one button diagnosis so you will be able to check the internet connection of your Smart Bro. You’ll be able to check things like:
- Latency
- Trace route
- Ping
- Speed test

It also has the announcement and feedback modules so that you can communicate more easily with Smart Bro technical support. It also has some announcements where smart bro will be announcing new features, promos or bill payments schedule.
I’m downloading Smart Bro Quickfix right now. I haven’t been having any problems with SmartBro so I haven’t tried Quickfix but I like the idea. It’s a good idea for Smartbro to come up with this; it’s just a matter of whether it works and whether it works for the customers.
But it’s a good idea, it helps Smart Bro lessen the burden on all the many calls I’m sure they get from their customers. It’s also good for the customers -it lessens the stress of having to figure out what the problem is with the Smart Bro connection.

I too had nagged about smartbro before…
It has its good and bad points…
I do experience slow net once and a while but i dont complain because i made an informed choice…
Aside from that, i am the one making QuickSolutions (formerly known as QuickFix)and trying to understand what are the problems that clients experience and id like to make the tool that will try to alleviate the problems encountered… going through blogs really is a tough task… reading people nag about no connection and slow connection really is frustrating me too… I want to know how the problem occurred so i can assess properly where the problem could have started and probably provide a solution… unfortunately, most of the blogs that i have run through are pure rants to voice out discontent and anger…
i was hoping people would try to share a more detailed narrative of their experiences so people can understand more and possibly provide better solutions…

SmartBro has a new policy about pc to net connection. If your net connection was installed in a pc it cant be used for another pc. Before, this wasnt the case but this policy was put so people cant use stolen antennas and stolen accounts.
I am not sure if this policy is implemented in all areas but I am sure this policy is now being implemeted.
I’ve reported my connection problem twice already. This is regarding my smart bro wherein eveytime I would like to get online I always encountered a problem regarding the connection. Sometimes I can’t connect but most of the times I can connect but after a while it will be lost. It is always like that since my smart bro was installed a month ago.
i think the problem having slow connection might be the location. else
try to check the maintenance of your computer. might be the PC that needs attention.

i have an internet cafe for 2 mos. now, my net is always timed out it takes 15 to 20 sec. to return then timed out again, my clients are complaining please help!ASAP

Guyz, we all have the same PROBS with ds SMARTBRO, i’m IT Support of DepEd in SAMAR. Talagang mabubwesit ka sa signal ng SMARTBRO. at di lang yun minsan nawawala ka pa sa portal,at mas worst kung di agad bumalik within that day ang connections mo, so pano na mga REPORTS of the OFFICE just like me i’m holding DepEd talgang buwesit ang SMART kya advice ko sa inyo mg GLOBE nlang taung lhat…mag pa DISCONNECT na kayo sa SMART. Kaya ako ngaun nawalan na ako ng tinik sa lalamunan ko. dahil GLOBE na ako.

i hate smart bro too. as in bwicit talaga. napakaunreliable ng service. laging na ddc. eh trabaho ko pa naman over the internet at kailangan ng stable net connection. lagi ako nahihighblood dahil dito.

How about checking out your equipment on the tower. In wet weather every time a truck goes down the highway it disconnects. It a real pain in the bum having to clear my screen and restart my browser again each time it disconnects.
Dry weather and no trucks its brilliant. Bit for the last week it has been absolute crap. Reckon you should pay US to use it.
Looks like a typical Philippine thing of take the money and to hell with the customer to me.
Hello fuh I just installed Smartbro Quickfix 2.1 a minute earlier and I’m having problem on registering or activating my account.
I believe I provided the correct information but still I’m receiving this message after sending “Server Unreachable” then it comes “server timeout please try again later”? I can’t even use the software.
I have had problem on my bro connection since last day when it almost impossible to connect to the internet, It always displayed “Request Timeout”. And it connects again after a few hours and giving a 4k MS?? wtf..
then.. its happening again… i’m at camarin caloocan area.. even the smart plug in’s have a prob.. OMG!!! even DSL wahhhh… grabehh you should limit only the subscribers in a certain area.. the CSR told me that my connection is not directly connected to me… i’m not that techy pero you should be consistent with your old subscribers… di n nga ako ngrereklamo sa bilis (este sa bagal) ng connection nyo miske may time n sobrang bagal ng connection. pero un na didisconnect ako sa isang Online game radomnly ay iba n un… hassle n ito di n maganda ang nangyayari d2… may iba p me option para maayos to? globe suck also but i haven’t tried the SUN… hope you can do something about this matter ASAP.. thanks

70 kbps and below lang nakukuha ko sometimes 20 lang or 12 ano b yan na internet tapos ayaw nila akong magpadisconnect, tapos may shoppe ako alangan naman na 12 kbps in 10 computers, e di wala ka nang costumer. pagdisconnect daw kailangan bayaran ko 10 thou kasi 2 months lang nagamit ko.,….. ayaw ko nga!!!!!! anong claseng contract yan sabi nila up tom 1 mb ang makukuha ko e wala naman pala dapat bigay muna nila service nila na 1 mb or kahit 700 lng. wala naman silang mailabas kahit ilang ulit dumating technician nila. nagbabayad n lang ako ng wala alangan na magpa internet ako ng ganun e di wala nang customer. dapat bigyan pansin ng government ito para di nila maharass ang customer nila mag additional pa daw sila ng bayad or punta sa court, ano yun pananakot.
kaya nagpaconnect ako sa iba DSL nalng. do what is right if you know its right.
bakit ang smartbro may costumer support page pa wala namang kwenta???
connection namin 2 months na naka-lock. di magamit lagi naman on time ang bayad. badtrip!

kaya ba netong masabi kung anong mali sa system ko kasi laging may lumalabas na DLL_NETCARD_R.dll na error.

bakit sabi unlimited,eh dumadating ang connection almost 9 AM and there are times limited pa services hanggang 11:30 pm lang. . .
..SMARTBRO..hindi talaga madownload ang Quickfix/quick solution, im using a AMD 2.8GHz,1 GB of ram and 320GB OF HD..pero why is it that there are some instances na pag naopen ako ng pc sa umaga (e.i. 6am) it took 2 to 3 hours bago makaconnect sa internet,palaging limited ang resources..BAKIT GANUN???
Good evening ka edong. I just want to ask if there is a solution to my smartbro modem kit kasi nawala na ung device driver nito. I’ve learned kasi na accidentally binunot ng apo ung kit while it was connected. ano ba ang magagawa rito. please reply. thanks

bkit ganun connection ko, pag mag open ng page or mag click lng ng link, request timed out na sa ping? ako lng ba ang nagkakaganito? ganito din po ba problem nyuu?
