“With this new service, Smart subscribers all over the country need only one phone, one SIM and one number, to be able to make unlimited, crystal-clear calls to over 38 million Smart numbers anytime, anywhere,” said Orlando Vea, chief wireless advisor of Smart and also one of its founders.

Smart subscribers will be able to avail of the service by purchasing loads for umlimited calls which come in two denominations. The first is ‘Smartalk 100’ which for P100 offers five days of umlimited calls to any subscriber on the Smart network anywhere in the country at any time of the day.

How to avail Smartalk

Another variant, ‘Smartalk 500’ offers 30 days of unlimited calls to any subscriber on the Smart network for only P500, effectively reducing the cost to as low as P17 for a whole day of unlimited calling to any number within the country’s largest mobile subscriber base.

Smart Buddy prepaid subscribers may avail of Smartalk through registration. A subscriber just needs to set Talk100 to 6400 for a Smartalk 100 package, or Talk500 to 6400 for a Smartalk 500 load. The payment for the package bought will be automatically deducted from the subscriber’s prepaid load.

They can also buy these Smartalk packages as load from any of over a million Smart Load retailers.

How to use Smartalk

When making a call using the Smartalk unlimited package, Smart Buddy or prepaid subscribers need to dial *6400 plus the 11-digit subscriber number being called.

    gosh, my bf complains with the issue of smart unrelated deductions of load.. he loaded 115 today after a minute, smart sent a message of promos and he check his balance, it was already deducted 56 pesos, so quick!!!..

    he also find it hard to registered at UNLI calls….

    @whatsacoder- no wonder this service is a failure due to the fact the Consumer group Consumer Complaints Center, Inc. has filed a complaint with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) against Smart Communications, Inc.’s promo “Smartalk,” calling it “deceptive” and “confusing.” Consumer Complaints Center President Vicente F. Gambito said his group has been receiving complaints about smartalk on the supposed poor service of the unlimited voice call promo smartalk. Mr. Gambito claimed the service bogged down during the first two weeks of implementation of smartalk, and that the *6400 service was unavailable for reasons such as the “phone was unattended” or “phone is outside of the coverage area”, but a connection could be made to an non Smartalk number using a regular call without the use of the prefix *6400 of smartalk. Also, attempts to subscribe to Smartalk during the period only resulted in receiving delayed messages saying the promo was unavailable at the time the registration was made.

    Deceiving ang smart promo na unlimited calls!!Mahirap maka register..Puro advertisement lang ang smart na yan..Nirereklamo nila dati ang sun about sa unlimited calls service ng sun yon pla sila rin, di rin kaya ng network nila na mag handle ng unlimited calls!!

  • I agree with your complains. Good thing I did not register for this promo.

    My friends who subscribed said that sometimes after successful registration they find it hard to use the unlimited calls for like in the next 3 days! At times the call even gets connected to another number!

    When they try to call Customer Care (*888) the Customer Representative will just apologize for the inconvenience and reason out that difficulties experience is due to ‘overwhelming response.’ I am guessing the network become congested and so there are problems with the call.

    I heard the last day for registration to the promo is November 5.

    WHY? They said its unlimited but yet IT IS NOT!

    Smart Talk cuts every 8 minutes while Smart Talk Plus cuts every 10 minutes (10pm – 5pm).

    NOT ONLY THAT! BEWARE! Smart will BAN your SIM card if you called more that 75 different smart or Talk ‘N Text number during 5 days of successfull registration to this promo.

    Try it for your self and you’ll see!

  • oo nga, once na gumamit ka ng any promo ng smart ay tatambakan ka ng text advertisements… lalo na kapag may important na text ka hinihintay at maka-receive ka ng text makita-kita mo smart advertisement lang pala grrrrr

    TALK100 PROMO. May experience akong 5 pm to 9pm hindi makatawag using this promo. Parang naka program na walang tawag sa ganung oras. As I can remember three times ko na experience. Kaya panay report ko sa *888. Kung anu ano ang reasons na alam na sasagot at pagagawa(turn off and turn on after 3 mins).Pero ang tagalllll. Iniisip ko na parang naka program sa computer system ang cell numbers at tawag mo. Control nila. Have a nice day to all.

    tumawag ako sa gf ko, ibang sumagot. tinatanong kung cno ako. tinanong ko rin kung anong number ng sumagot just to know if yun nga ung dinial ko, ayaw ibigay. i’ve tried it another time. does your call really connects you to other smart number? o ung SMART mismo sumasagot. babadtripin ka lang ata mga niyan. anyways, full tank sila!!

    SMART SERVICE is really BAD!!! smart promos are not TRUE especially the SmartTalk100 coz i tried that promo last Saturday March 27,2010 and it really sucks coz when i called my business partner using the *6400+11 digit the operator answered to me that “your number cannot be completed is dial please check the number and dial again” what a bullshit!!! and not ONLY that i also exprience for so many times the fucking DEDUCTIONS of load even i did not subscribe thier bad songs and pics and i dont REALLY like it coz they are not thinking that we been working for the money that we load..In short they are not helping the peaople coz they keep on pushing…
    goodluck everyone I hope there is someone who can THINK what i wrote and for those smart users BEWARE!

    smart talk 100? no calls from 5pm -10 pm & they said in their promo that CALLS ANYTIME OF THE DAY. What a scam!

    hmmm.. sounds like there are globe and sun employees scattered all over here huh.. though im not connected with any network, i find it really fishy on some of the posts trying to ruin smart’s reputation.

    i think ung iba nakakakonek naman. it really depends on the user.
